This is an introductory lesson to marriages within the Hindu tradition.
By the end of this lesson pupils will be able to discuss the benefits and challenges of arranged marriages.

Christmas: Has Christmas lost its meaning?
This is a fully resourced 1 hour lesson.
PPT: 22 Slides & Worksheet: 3 A4 pages.
Pupils have to define what is the meaning of Christmas and discuss it as a class. They will then watch a YouTube video and make notes of the learning mat provided. They will then take part in a class survey on whether they think Christmas has lost its meaning and create a pie chart using the results.

This is a ZERO PREP, Grab & Go Lesson!
This resource is the sixth and seventh lesson in the series of eight into an ‘Introduction to Religion’. This series of lessons is designed to introduce pupils to the six of the major world religions.
In this lesson pupils discuss the importance of festivals and under take a numeracy task based on this (there are differentiated worksheets provided in the pack). Pupils have to create an acrostic poem on the importance of festivals.
There are information cards included on religious festivals that are placed at the front of the class for pupils to ‘run’ up to collect and repeat the process once they have completed that section of the worksheet. There is a peer teaching section for pupils to teach each other the festivals in the religion they have researched and a peer assessment section.
This resource consists of: PowerPoint ( 33 slides) with a bell task, starter and plenary. Work Booklet (10 pages).

Jesus : Who is responsible for Jesus’ death? ( Murder Mystery Style Resource)
Easter Activity
This resource contains six Fact Files on characters that are relating to the Passion narrative within the Bible. Pupils can be divided into groups and asked to collect evidence on each character and build up a convincing argument as to why this person may be responsible for Jesus death.
This activity works well when ended with a class debate on this topic.

This is a ‘Grab & Go’ Lesson-Zero prep Required and is designed to get pupils thinking about the existence of God through the Ontological Theory.
Included: PowerPoint (53 slides) & Work booklet (10 pages)
This lesson slots into any year 9 SoW or can be used alongside our GCSE resources designed for the new specification. (This is lesson 5 in the range).
This can either be a fast paced 60 minutes or span two lessons. Giving pupils the initial lesson to research and plan and then the second lesson as a P4C lesson to thoroughly debate this topic.
It is a fully resourced lesson with PowerPoint and worksheets with a card sort sheet that can either be printed and pupils can cut the information out to stick in their books or you can laminate the cards for group tasks. There is also a help sheet included on how to come up with a convincing argument.
Homework: Pupils have to research famous Theist, Atheist and Agnostics and their principles along with some very important religious vocabulary.
The aim is for pupils to come up with plausible arguments whether there is or is not a God (using the Ontological Theory as evidence) and to present this in a group discussion.
This lesson is the first in a set of seven designed to introduce pupils to the six of the major world religions. In this lesson, pupils will look at a timeline of the origins of religion, be tasked to recreate this timeline themselves (There are differentiated worksheets and a help sheet for lower ability pupils.) They will also have to colour a map of where the religions began.
There are links to 2 videos within this PPT. The second gives and overview of 5 world religions. The sixth pupils have to research for homework.
